Job summary

Ventaco is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across domestic and commercial systems. You’ll keep customers’ systems operating safely, efficiently and reliably, from routine servicing to fault diagnosis and minor repairs.

The role covers both domestic and commercial environments, with a strong focus on fault finding, preventative maintenance and clear communication with customers and the Ventaco

Job description

Ventaco is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of domestic and commercial air conditioning systems.

You’ll be responsible for keeping customers’ systems operating safely, efficiently and reliably – from routine servicing and preventative maintenance through to fault diagnosis and minor repairs.

We work across a varied customer base, from individual domestic systems to larger commercial installations, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, communicating directly with customers and taking ownership of the work they carry out.

Ventaco is growing quickly and already has a strong pipeline of work. You won’t be joining a business that needs to create work to keep its engineers busy – we’re looking for an experienced engineer who can help us continue delivering the responsive, high-quality service our customers expect.

The role will include:

• Planned preventative maintenance of split, multi-split and VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
  
• Routine servicing, cleaning, inspection and performance checks.
  
• Diagnosing faults and identifying the cause of system problems.
  
• Carrying out repairs and replacing components where appropriate.
  
• Checking refrigerant systems and identifying leaks or performance issues.
  
• Electrical and controls fault-finding.
  
• Testing systems following maintenance or repair work.
  
• Identifying developing issues and recommending appropriate remedial work.
  
• Completing service and maintenance records accurately.
  
• Communicating findings clearly to customers and the Ventaco team.
  
• Working across both domestic and commercial environments.
  
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, presentation and customer service.
  
• Following company procedures and current health and safety requirements.
  

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in doing the job properly and can be trusted to represent Ventaco professionally when working independently on customers’ sites.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Air Conditioning Service or Maintenance Engineer.
  
• Strong experience maintaining and servicing split and multi-split air conditioning systems.
  
• Experience working with VRV/VRF systems.
  
• Good air conditioning fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  
• Understanding of refrigeration circuits, controls and electrical components.
  
• Experience working in both domestic and commercial environments.
  
• Ability to identify faults and recommend appropriate repair or remedial work.
  
• Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
  
• CSCS card or appropriate site health and safety accreditation where required.
  
• Full UK driving licence.
  
• Ability to work independently and organise work effectively.
  
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
  
• Experience across a range of major air conditioning manufacturers.
  
• Manufacturer-specific training or qualifications.
  
• Experience with ducted systems and ventilation equipment.
  
• Experience carrying out minor repairs and installation works.
  
• Additional electrical, refrigeration or HVAC qualifications.
  
• Experience with commercial planned preventative maintenance contracts.
  
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced engineers.
