About the Role: Branta Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a busy team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HVAC professional to work across various commercial sites in the North East of England. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning & refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on a range of air conditioning systems, including:

• Split systems
• VRV/VRF systems
• Chillers

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

Clean coils, replace filters, and perform general system upkeep to maximise efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.

Conduct inspections to identify system performance issues and recommend solutions.

Work alongside other engineers and subcontractors for complex installations or upgrades.

Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and F-Gas regulations.

Key Requirements:

• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Proven experience in a similar Air Conditioning Engineer role, ideally in a mobile/facilities management setting.
• Must be able to service industrial cooling units.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
