Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking two skilled Air Conditioning Engineers to join our client’s facilities management team in the Newcastle area. You will maintain, service and repair a range of HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF and chillers, across industrial and commercial sites.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and safe operation, with on-call rota and a competitive salary. A full UK driving licence and F-Gas Cat 1 certification are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer in facilities management.
• Hold F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot air conditioning systems including split, VRV/VRF and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance to prolong HVAC lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer - Newcastle Upon Tyne - HVAC Contractor: Commercial, Industrial & Public Sector

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking two skilled Air Conditioning Engineers to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience of industrial cooling and commissioning VRV/VRF air handling units.

These are both mobile roles, covering Tyne & Wear, County Durham & Teesside areas.

Package

• Competitive salary between £38,000 - £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
