Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to service, maintain, repair, fault-find, and install commercial air conditioning systems across customer sites in West Yorkshire. You will handle PPMs and reactive call-outs, working on split, VRV/VRF, and AHU/chiller setups.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, F-Gas 2079 Cat 1, and City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications, with opportunities for career progression and ongoing training in a growing

Qualifications

• F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification is required.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with VRV/VRF, split systems, chillers and AHUs.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing air conditioning equipment.
• Reactive maintenance, servicing, PPM and installations.
• Work on split systems, VRV/VRF systems, chillers and AHUs.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota.
• Provide quotes with parts, labour and equipment.
• Meet Health & Safety, quality, compliance and profitability targets.
• Act as a technical expert within the regional team.

About the Role

Responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, fault-finding and installing commercial air conditioning systems across customer sites. Includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs in the Leeds area.

You'll work independently and as part of a professional team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing air conditioning equipment.
• Carry out reactive maintenance, servicing, PPM and installations.
• Work on split systems, and VRV/VRF systems.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota.
• Advise customers on repair or replacement of equipment.
• Provide information for quotations including parts, labour and equipment.
• Meet targets for Health & Safety, quality, compliance and profitability.
• Act as a technical expert within the regional team.

What We're Looking For

• F-Gas (2079) Category 1
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or time served)
• City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent
• Experience with VRV/VRF systems, split systems, chillers and AHUs
• Full UK driving licence
