Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a site-based Air Conditioning Engineer to join a National Facilities Management Organisation near Leicester. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Based in Leicester, the successful candidate will service split systems, VRV/VRF and chillers, handle routine maintenance, and work on-call as part of a rota.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
• HVAC system installation, maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong equipment lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.

Site based Air Conditioning Engineer - Leicester - National Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

This is a site based opportunity, located near Leicester, Leicestershire.

Package:

• Competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in 'out of hours' on call rota
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
