Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a mobile team delivering design, installation and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across the UK. The role emphasizes safety, quality and client satisfaction on busy sites in Glasgow and nationwide.

You will work with CAFM systems, tablet-based logging and on-site paperwork while supporting electrical PPM tasks and emergency lighting checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in HVAC maintenance and installation.
• City & Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration/Air Conditioning required; Level 3 preferred.
• F-Gas certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11) required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across multiple sectors.
• Assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and minor repairs.
• Maintain on-site log books, permits and site paperwork; use CAFM/tablet logging for compliance.
• Collaborate with mobile team to deliver client-focused service and meet safety standards.
• Knowledge of Air Handling Units, HVAC installations and BMS controls.

• Design & installation, after care service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems carrying out the service and maintenance of a multitude of equipment ranging from commercial equipment including cold rooms, ice machines, VRV & VRF Indoor and Outdoor Units, Heat Recovery Units, leak testing systems etc.
• Maintenance, repairs and all general Air Conditioning duties, including being able to assist with mechanical & plumbing works if required on site.
• Experience in Air Source Heat Pumps would be desirable and additional training on this can be provided.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Candidate who can assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and small repairs would be desirable.
• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories)
• Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and HVAC installations, including issuing written compliance paperwork.
• To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork insuring they are completed and up to date.
• Must be competent in working on CAFM system and using tablet for logging on to jobs and completing compliance paperwork.
• The Air Conditioning engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focussed

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferred) F-Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11)
• 18th Edition Accreditation is an also preferred for this candidate.
