Job description

Title: Air Conditioning Engineer

Type: Permanent

Salary: £37,000 to £42,000 per annum DOE (plus Overtime)

A well-established, nationwide company based in Loughborough is seeking an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to start ASAP.

We require an experienced engineer knowledgeable in installing and working on air conditioning systems, such as VRF/VRV multi-split and split systems, for our commercial clients including universities, hospitality, offices, retail, leisure, and residential projects nationwide.

The Role

1. Complete installation of VRF/VRV, multi-split, and split systems, including pipework, wiring, mounting, brazing, condensate management, etc.
2. Install and work on a variety of air conditioning VRF/VRV and split systems, with considerable experience and training.
3. Commission VRF/VRV, multi-split, and split air conditioning systems.
4. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
5. Coordinate with project teams and company directors daily.
6. Manage on-site installations to ensure smooth delivery.
7. Liaise with clients to maintain stakeholder relationships where required.
8. Follow all health & safety protocols and site-specific requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

1. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F-Gas/EN 378 compliant.
2. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
3. Pride in quality workmanship.
4. Confidence in own abilities.
5. Flexible and willing to work on various mechanical systems with training provided.
6. Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
7. Electrical competence including reading wiring schematics and testing control circuits is advantageous.
8. Full driving license.
9. Willingness to work away 2-4 nights per week depending on projects.
