Job summary

The Economist Group is seeking several AI Transformation Leads to translate ambition into measurable results. These hands-on, commercially minded roles blend stakeholder engagement with practical fluency in building with AI across our global teams.

You will partner with Editorial, Finance, Enterprise Sales, B2C and central functions to identify opportunities, shape solutions and drive adoption, delivering sustained value through AI-powered automation.

Qualifications

• Deep passion and curiosity in AI and its responsible application
• 4+ years experience in transformation, consulting, product, operations, business analysis or similar
• Practical experience applying AI, automation, data or digital tools to improve processes
• Hands-on experience building with AI and agentic tools
• Commercial judgement to prioritise high-impact opportunities
• Ability to redesign workflows around user and business needs
• Experience leading discovery to understand user needs and target-state processes
• Experience enabling adoption and embedding new tech into daily workflows
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Partner with business areas to identify, assess and prioritise AI automation opportunities
• Understand workflows and reimagine them end to end, not just digitise
• Define problem statements, scope, success measures and benefits
• Build working prototypes, agents and integrations for quick user feedback
• Take proven use cases through to production with engineering and platform teams
• Drive adoption with the business owner through training and communications
• Track usage, outcomes and realised benefits to refine and scale
• Report progress and blockers into the AI Internal Automation programme rhythm
• Stay current on AI tooling and translate developments into opportunity areas
