The University of Bristol invites applications for an Infrastructure Engineer specialising in storage and networking within the Bristol Centre for Supercomputing (BriCS). You will design and operate large, distributed software-defined infrastructures and GPU/CPU workloads, enabling researchers to run advanced experiments.

You should be comfortable working with researchers to co-design scalable solutions, and enjoy a hybrid working pattern with flexible start dates to attract top talent.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, computational or ML/AI research or a natural science with computer science competence.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale, software-defined infrastructure.
• Ability to work across storage and networking in hybrid environments.

Responsabilités

• Design and operate large, highly available supercomputing services as software-defined infrastructures.
• Experience with GPU/CPU-GPU workloads across these services and integration with researchers' workflows.
• Collaborate with researchers to co-design solutions enabling new algorithms and software.
