Job summary

Spectrum IT is seeking an AI Software Engineer to build intelligent products for a sustainable future. You’ll design cloud apps, APIs and portals, turning complex data into useful solutions, with AI at the core of both product and development processes.

You’ll work with C#/.NET, TypeScript/Angular or Python/Django, use Claude Code and Codex, and apply RAG and agent orchestration patterns to deliver robust software with maintainability, testing, and security in mind, collaborating closely with

We're recruiting for a sustainability services business investing in its next generation of digital products. They're looking for a talented software engineer who combines strong development skills with practical experience of AI-assisted coding, generative AI and intelligent automation.

What you'll get involved in

• Build cloud applications, customer portals, APIs and integrations that turn complex data into useful products.
• Develop AI capabilities spanning document intelligence, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and intelligent agents.
• Use tools such as Claude Code and Codex to accelerate development, applying sound judgement to testing, security and maintainability.
• Replace manual processes with intelligent workflows and help modernise existing platforms.
• Shape architecture, reusable components and engineering practices while working directly with users and domain specialists.

About You

You've delivered production software and have strong skills in one or more of C# / .NET, TypeScript / Angular or Python / Django. You're comfortable building APIs, working with relational databases and integrating business systems.

You already use AI development tools and have practical experience incorporating generative AI, document intelligence or intelligent automation into working solutions. You understand LLM application patterns, including RAG and agent orchestration, and care about evaluating and monitoring what you ship.

Experience with Azure, PostgreSQL, CI/CD and cloud deployment would be valuable. Above all, you're curious, product-minded and able to turn a business problem into reliable software.
