An opportunity for an experienced AI Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI within a growing, technology-driven financial services firm who are about to undertake a business wide AI programme of work.

With significant investment in AI, digital products and intelligent automation, this role offers the chance to influence AI strategy, architecture and delivery. Combining the agility of a growing business with the stability and resources of an established organisation, the position offers genuine autonomy and technical ownership.

This is not a purely strategic architecture role. Hands-on involvement will be central, from developing proof of concepts and collaborating with engineers to delivering innovative AI solutions into production.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Architecture & Product Development: Design and deliver AI-powered applications and digital products, from initial concept through to production.
• Generative & Agentic AI: Develop solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI orchestration frameworks and intelligent agents to transform business processes.
• AI Strategy & Governance: Establish consistent architecture patterns, security standards and best practices for responsible AI adoption.
• Hands-on Innovation: Build proof of concepts, evaluate emerging technologies and collaborate directly with engineering teams.
• Engineering Excellence: Drive best practices across DevOps, CI/CD, LLMOps/MLOps and modern software development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex business challenges into scalable, secure and commercially viable AI solutions.

Key Requirements

• Software development experience, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (C#, .NET).
• Hands-on Azure experience, including Azure AI Foundry and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong experience with LLMs and generative AI, including OpenAI, Claude and Gemini.
• Hands-on experience designing agentic AI solutions, RAG architectures and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Python, APIs, MCP integrations and asynchronous architectures.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub Actions and LLMOps/MLOps.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Cosmos DB.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with AWS, GCP, enterprise architecture frameworks or financial services would be advantageous.
