Job summary

Undisclosed in London is seeking an experienced AI Security Engineer to lead foundational security for an AI-driven hedge fund. This is the first security hire, with broad autonomy to shape strategy, processes and tooling across the firm.

You will set up threat modelling, secure DevSecOps, and select initial tooling. A hands-on engineering role with advisory reach across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong Python tooling skills.
• Hands-on engineer with advisory capabilities across stakeholders.
• Genuine interest in AI/LLM themes and emerging risks.

Responsibilities

• Set up foundational AI security processes (threat modelling, scanning, DevSecOps).
• Find and fix vulnerabilities across AI tools and workflows, owning the process.
• Choose and stand‑up the initial security tooling for a fast‑growing AI-adopting business.
• Advise engineers and leadership on risk and practical steps as the resident SME.
