Job summary

Northern Trust seeks a Program Manager in the United Kingdom to lead an integrated delivery of a major strategic programme, including AI and emerging technologies. You will establish the programme structure, roadmap, governance and provide oversight of outcomes, costs and decisions.

The role is a generalist programme manager with potential to lead other strategic or regulatory programmes as priorities evolve, requiring strong cross-functional coordination and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong programme-management experience across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience leading programmes with multiple projects, workstreams or delivery teams.
• Strong planning, governance and dependency-management capability.
• Experience managing risks, resources, costs, forecasts and executive reporting.
• Ability to translate objectives into executable roadmaps and delivery plans.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methods.
• Experience in financial services or a regulated industry is desirable.
• Exposure to AI, automation, data or emerging-technologies programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish the programme structure, governance model and delivery cadence.
• Translate objectives into an integrated programme roadmap and plan.
• Coordinate stakeholders across business, product, technology, operations and risk.
• Coordinate opportunity assessment, prioritisation and mobilisation.
• Monitor progress against outcomes, milestones and delivery gates.
• Prepare executive updates, governance materials and decision papers.
• Facilitate programmes, steering and decision-making forums.
• Coordinate implementation, hand-offs and transition into sustainable ownership.
• Support benefit tracking and post-implementation reviews.
