Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a Quality Engineering AI Lead in Leatherhead or Norwich. You will drive AI adoption within the QE delivery lifecycle, modernising testing and enabling automation while upholding quality and governance.

You’ll own validation of AI business solutions, establishing frameworks for testing, observability, and risk controls, and coach QE engineers to build capability and communities of practice across the function.

Qualifications

• Hands-on applied AI experience within large-scale software engineering organisations.
• Quality Engineering background with testing, evaluating and validating AI-powered solutions (LLMs, RAG).
• Ability to define strategy, influence stakeholders and lead large-scale tech transformation.
• Strong software engineering skills, preferably Python, with experience building scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Adoption of AI within QE delivery lifecycle to modernise testing practices and unlock productivity gains.
• Validation of AI business solutions with frameworks, standards and controls for assurance.
• Coaching QE engineers and leaders, establishing best practices and communities of practice.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field
