Job summary

Elsevier in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for editorial triage, an early high-volume decision point in publishing workflows. You will collaborate with data science, analytics, and engineering to surface interpretable signals that aid editors while preserving human oversight.

You will drive product discovery with editors, define success metrics and partner with stakeholders across Publishing, Technology and Research Integrity to deliver

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience with strategy, delivery and roadmap ownership.
• Ability to define problems, assess trade-offs and focus on user outcomes.
• Experience with AI/ML products, including generative AI, RAG, or agent workflows.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation, experiments and decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for editorial triage.
• Lead product delivery within a cross-functional agile team and backlog.
• Conduct customer discovery with editorial users to identify needs.
• Design and improve signal management and triage experiences.
• Foster evidence-based decision-making through research and analytics.
• Collaborate with data science to evaluate signal quality and translate findings.
• Link product outcomes to business goals via KPIs and OKRs.
• Partner with engineering to evaluate architectural trade-offs.
• Build products that support transparency and auditability.
• Work with stakeholders across Publishing, Technology, Operations, Editorial Strategy and Research Integrity.
• Support go-to-market planning, product launches and customer adoption.
