Job summary

Elsevier is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and roadmap for editorial triage, the early and high-volume decision point in our publishing workflow.

You will partner with data science and editorial teams to surface interpretable signals at triage, guiding editors while preserving human oversight. This role blends product leadership with a deep curiosity about AI behaviors and evaluation in a publishing context.

Qualifications

• Significant product management experience, ownership of strategy, delivery and roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for editorial triage.
• Lead delivery within a cross-functional agile team with priority management.
• Conduct customer discovery with editorial users and translate insights into improvements.
• Design and improve signal management and triage experiences for better prioritisation.
• Foster evidence-based decision-making via quantitative and qualitative research.
• Collaborate with data science to evaluate signal quality and translate findings into product enhancements.
• Align product outcomes to business goals using KPIs, OKRs and ROI analysis.
• Work with engineering to evaluate architectural and technical trade-offs.
• Build products supporting transparency, accountability and auditability.
• Coordinate with Publishing, Technology, Operations, Editorial Strategy and Research Integrity.
• Support go-to-market planning, launches, adoption and change management.
