Job summary

Savanta is seeking an experienced engineering team lead to drive Virtual Personas, a cutting-edge AI platform for market research. Lead up to four engineers in a hybrid London-based team, delivering the product roadmap and guiding cloud-first adoption across Azure, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

You will mentor and cultivate engineering culture, ensure robust delivery with automated tests and CI gates, and collaborate closely with product, UX, and QA to ship high-quality AI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

Experience leading agile rapid release iterations on AI/LLM-powered products.
Extensive experience with Python and modern async web frameworks.
Hands-on building or maintaining LLM-powered applications - prompt design, multi-provider integration, and agent orchestration.
Strong PostgreSQL experience and comfort with MongoDB and Redis.
Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI tooling.

Responsibilities

Part of a team responsible for setting direction for Virtual Personas
Delivery of the Product roadmap
Managing a team with a range of skillsets and experience
Full stack development across Python/FastAPI services and React/TypeScript front ends
Embedding automated testing and CI quality gates into a fast-moving AI product
Mentoring, supporting, and guiding developers
Interacting directly with customers to understand needs and generalise them
