Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group's Corporate Engineering AI team is delivering enterprise-grade AI platforms and tools to empower internal product teams. The role focuses on building MCP servers, designing agentic workflows, and ensuring secure, governed deployments across our AI ecosystem.

You will collaborate with engineers, product teams, and governance teams to deliver scalable, reliable AI capabilities at scale within LSEG's enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience in production systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks.
• Practical understanding of MCP, including server and tool patterns.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and RAG-based architectures.
• Containerisation and Kubernetes-based deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build MCP servers and tools exposing enterprise systems to AI agents.
• Implement Skills that orchestrate tools, data, and reasoning into repeatable workflows.
• Contribute to the LSEG AI Assist agentic harness including planning and orchestration logic.
• Build secure API wrappers where backend systems lack appropriate authentication or entitlement models.
• Collaborate with product teams to transfer knowledge and establish reusable patterns.
• Shape the developer experience for MCP and Skills with templates and standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers and SREs to ensure quality and governance.
