Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to lead quality across AI-enabled software delivery. You will design AI-native testing strategies, build Claude Code skills, and work with squads to accelerate reliable delivery.

You will coach engineers on testing, implement scalable test architectures, and advance coverage while maintaining fast feedback in large codebases.

Qualifications

• Strong quality engineering background with experience across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing strategies.
• Hands-on with Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling) for test automation, coverage analysis, and MCP server config.
• Experience with modern test frameworks and tooling (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or similar) and integrating AI tooling.
• Understanding of AI-native SDLC practices and testing when code is AI-generated or augmented.
• Experience with test architecture at scale and fast feedback loops in large codebases.
• Ability to coach engineers on testing practices and shift quality left.

Responsibilities

• Assess testing maturity during discovery, identify coverage gaps and bottlenecks.
• Design and implement AI-native testing strategies using Claude Code and tooling to generate tests and analyze coverage.
• Build Claude Code skills and subagents for automated test generation, data management, and intelligent test selection.
• Define quality gates in the AI-native SDLC to enable fast, automated feedback.
• Embed testing best practices through pairing, code reviews, and hands-on demonstrations.
• Create reusable testing patterns and templates for cross-team adoption.
• Collaborate with squads to ensure AI-generated code meets quality standards and pace.
