GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to help scale QA for financial services digital transformation across cloud, data, AI, and platform modernization initiatives with a hybrid delivery model.

You will design AI-native testing strategies, develop Claude Code skills, and mentor engineers to shift quality left while accelerating delivery and maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Strong quality engineering background with testing strategies across unit, integration, contract and end-to-end.
• Hands-on with Claude Code or equivalent agentic CLI tooling for test automation and coverage analysis.
• Experience with modern test frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, pytest) and AI tooling integration.
• Understanding AI-native SDLC practices and testing for AI-generated augmented code.
• Experience with test architecture at scale and maintaining fast feedback loops.
• Ability to coach engineers on testing practices and shifting quality left.
• Comfortable assessing unfamiliar codebases and identifying high-impact quality improvements.
• Experience with property-based testing, mutation testing, formal verification, load/chaos testing, and SRE practices.
• Familiarity with contract testing in microservices (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract) and finance QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess the team’s current testing maturity during discovery and identify coverage gaps and bottlenecks.
• Design and implement AI-native testing strategies using Claude Code to generate test cases, analyze coverage gaps, and detect regression risks.
• Build Claude Code skills and subagents for automated test generation, test data management, and intelligent test selection.
• Define quality gates in the AI-native SDLC for fast, automated feedback without delivery drag.
• Embed testing best practices through pairing, code review, and hands-on demonstrations.
• Create reusable testing patterns (frameworks, templates, agent configurations) for use across engineering teams.
• Ensure AI-generated code meets quality standards and testing keeps pace with delivery.

Requirements

• Strong quality engineering background with experience across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing strategies
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling — Cursor, Codex CLI, Cline, Aider): writing custom skills for test automation, building subagents for coverage analysis, and configuring MCP servers for test infrastructure
• Experience with modern test frameworks and tooling (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or similar) and the ability to integrate AI tooling alongside them
• Understanding of AI-native SDLC practices and how testing must evolve when code is generated or augmented by AI
• Experience with test architecture at scale — knowing when to test, what to test, and how to maintain fast feedback loops in large codebases
• Ability to coach engineers on testing practices — shifting quality left and making testing a shared responsibility rather than a bottleneck
• Comfortable assessing unfamiliar codebases and quickly identifying the highest-impact quality improvements

• Experience with property-based testing, mutation testing, or formal verification approaches
• Background in performance or reliability engineering (load testing, chaos engineering, SRE practices)
• Familiarity with contract testing in microservice architectures (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract)
• Experience in financial services quality assurance (regulatory testing requirements, audit trails)
• Experience defining and tracking quality metrics (defect escape rate, test cycle time, coverage trends)

• Assess the engineering team’s current testing maturity during the discovery phase — identifying gaps in coverage, slow feedback loops, and manual bottlenecks that block rapid delivery
• Design and implement AI-native testing strategies: using Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling) to generate test cases from requirements, analyse coverage gaps, and detect regression risks
• Build custom Claude Code (or equivalent agentic CLI tooling) skills and subagents focused on quality engineering — automated test generation, test data management, and intelligent test selection
• Define quality gates within the AI-native SDLC that provide fast, automated feedback without creating delivery drag
• Embed testing best practices into product squads through pairing, code review, and hands‑on demonstration
• Create reusable testing patterns (frameworks, templates, agent configurations) that are made centrally available for use across all engineering teams
• Work alongside squad developers to ensure AI‑generated code meets quality standards and that testing keeps pace with accelerated delivery
