Job summary

Dex is partnering with a frontier AI lab to hire an experienced engineer who will own the technical plan for AI-driven simulations. You will lead a small squad, design scalable architectures, and build tooling to enable LLM agents to write code and tests.

This role blends software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI experimentation in a fast-paced environment where fidelity matters and decisive technical leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Production software engineering experience with a typed language.
• Experience leading 0-to-1 projects and coordinating 1–2 engineers.
• Experience with cloud deployment, infrastructure, or CI/CD.
• Ability to work independently in frontier AI environment.

Responsibilities

• Transform diverse production systems into interactive, resettable AI training environments.
• Lead the technical design and execution for cloning complex applications.
• Build AI scaffolds, tooling, and verification harnesses for fidelity.
• Orchestrate LLM agents to automate code generation, scraping, and testing.
• Drive 0-to-1 projects and coordinate work with engineers, owning decisions.
