Job summary

Dex is seeking a Deployed AI Engineer for a trusted partner building AI software for defence. You will integrate state-of-the-art AI into complex defence systems and take ownership of end-to-end deployments with customer engineers, including work on legacy environments.

You will map data structures, APIs, and cloud adapters, reverse-engineer unfamiliar databases and networks, and collaborate with product teams to ship features from simulations to live systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Software/EE
• Ability to understand complex unfamiliar systems
• Experience with C++, Java, Rust or similar; scripting in Python or Bash
• Experience navigating Linux environments, networks and databases
• Customer-facing, on-site collaboration and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Integrate AI software into operational defence platforms
• Collaborate with customer avionics engineers to map data structures and APIs
• Reverse-engineer databases, network protocols, and specs to build cloud adapters
• Partner with product teams to define requirements and ship features
• Lead tech demos and present AI capabilities to customers and partners
