Job summary

Mitsubishi Power EMEA is seeking a highly motivated AI and Machine Learning Engineer (2 Year Fixed Term Contract) to apply AI/ML techniques to engineering challenges in the power generation industry. You will work with an experienced Principal Engineer to develop digital solutions enhancing turbine operation and maintenance, reliability, and customer outcomes.

The role involves deploying AI-driven projects, addressing practical engineering problems, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related discipline.
• Good understanding of data analysis, statistical modelling and ML techniques.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and libraries.
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, parallel/distributed computing.
• Programming in Python/Java/C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Support development of data-driven solutions for operation and maintenance of turbines.
• Assist Engineering team in supporting gas/steam turbines and control systems.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineer to develop digital engineering solutions.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to improve operational performance.
• Support deployment and integration of AI solutions across the organisation.
• Assist in root cause analysis and technical investigations.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports per company standards.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide AI/ML expertise for outage investigations and sales/proposal activities.
• Propose innovative AI solutions to enhance capability and business performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet emerging needs.
