Job summary

Worldpay is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI Innovation & Technology team. You will explore emerging AI capabilities, prototype new ideas, and translate promising innovations into production-ready solutions with measurable business impact.

You will work across Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and LLMs to deliver capabilities that unlock customer and business value. The role involves building, evaluating, and deploying AI systems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI, ML, Data Science, or related fields.
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.
• Experience taking AI proof-of-concepts from idea to production.
• Strong knowledge of deep learning, NLP, and LLM architectures and experience in fine-tuning LLMs or training domain-specific models, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A curious, hands-on mindset with a desire to experiment, learn, and build.
• Experience with multimodal AI, AI governance, or MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, build, optimize and deploy ML/AI models and foundational models for real-world applications.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies; prototype new capabilities and run proofs-of-concepts.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify high-value use cases.
• Drive a culture of innovation through experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• Help define best practices, standards, and reusable AI patterns across the org.
• Develop agentic AI workflows using LangChain or similar.
• Develop and maintain AI system blueprints; ensure integration with existing infrastructure.
• Ensure AI deployment is secure, observable, scalable, and continually improved.
• Ensure compliance with security, ethics, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to identify and deliver high-impact AI opportunities.
• Stay at the forefront of advances in AI, foundation models, and autonomous agents.
