Job summary

Metric is building the network infrastructure to scale AI compute to 10 GW and operates large-scale GPU dense data centres. The role focuses on real-time monitoring, debugging tools, and automating repair across multiple sites in a London-based environment with a preference for onsite work.

The successful candidate will own network health, develop tooling in Go and Python, and contribute to reliability and operations of vast datacenter fabrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working with physical data center infrastructure.
• Experience developing automation tools in Go and Python and knowledge of network monitoring (NETCONF, SONiC, gNMI and gRPC).
• Experienced in AI tooling, knowledge of large-scale datacenter fabrics and out-of-band network management.

Responsibilities

• Own network health: Define realtime monitoring requirements, create dashboards to show on-call engineers a true show of the state of the network across sites.
• Build debugging tools: Link cross-fleet diagnostics, command execution and repair visualization.
• Automate repair: Integrate the network failure process from detection to recovery.
• Own growth, reliability and operation of large-scale networks.
