Qualifications

• Led security teams in fast-paced scale-ups or world-class tech orgs.
• Experience defining and defending security architectures across multi-tenant cloud systems.
• Exposure to security, regulatory requirements, and architectural challenges in AI/ML or life sciences.
• Ability to translate strategic risk into actionable security implementation; strong collaboration skills.
• Bias for automation, scalability, and AI-enabled security workflows.
• Proven track record securing cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerized workloads (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Business-minded risk assessment balancing agility with asset protection.
• Ability to distill vulnerabilities and risks for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Mentor and scale a world‑class team of security engineers, fostering technical excellence and high-impact delivery.
• Technical Roadmap Ownership: Co-design and implement long-term security strategy covering IAM, Cloud/Network Security, Secure SDLC, Monitoring.
• Lead Transformation Projects: Drive industry‑leading security projects supporting frontier ML models and therapeutics.
• Cloud & Platform Security through AI: Oversee cloud infrastructure security leveraging AI and automated posture management.
• Program Oversight: Develop KPI-driven roadmaps and provide updates to executive management.
• Business Velocity: Partner with medical teams and ML researchers to maximize velocity while maintaining secure compute environments.
• Google Collaboration: Liaise with Alphabet/Google ecosystem and security vendors to maintain edge.
• Vulnerability and Incident Escalation: Serve as senior escalation point for complex security incidents and architecture risks.
