Job summary

American Express is seeking a graduate AI Engineer for its Enterprise Technology Services to join a full-time program. You will help explore, build, test, and responsibly scale AI-enabled solutions across ML models, data pipelines, and LLM integrations.

You’ll work with engineering, product, data, security, risk, and business partners to deliver enterprise AI responsibly, reliably, and securely, in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
• Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support development, testing, and integration of AI/ML models, LLM integrations, intelligent services, or data pipelines under guidance.
• Assist with data collection, preprocessing, transformation, and validation to support model training, testing, evaluation, and implementation.
• Contribute to debugging and improving AI-enabled solutions to strengthen performance, reliability, explainability, maintainability, and quality.
• Support AI workflows: training, inference endpoints, prompt-based interactions, evaluation routines, and retrieval patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, data, risk, security, and business partners to implement AI-driven solutions aligned to requirements.
• Document model parameters, prompts, data pipelines, integrations, and decisions to support reproducibility.
• Participate in Agile practices: sprint planning, standups, demos, retrospectives, code reviews.
