Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is partnering with a leading data and AI consultancy to hire an AI Engineer for a permanent, UK-wide role with hybrid and client-facing delivery across London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and Edinburgh.

You will design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions, including LLM-powered apps and RAG pipelines, working with senior AI leaders and clients across diverse sectors. Travel across the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in Data Science, ML, or AI Engineering.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with AI/ML libraries.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures.
• Understanding of AI Agent frameworks and orchestration concepts.
• Experience building and deploying ML solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI/ML solutions.
• Build LLM-powered applications, including prompting frameworks, RAG pipelines, and agent-based workflows.
• Deliver end-to-end data science activities: data prep, feature engineering, model development, evaluation.
• Translate designs into production-quality Python code.
• Contribute to model testing, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, engineers, and client stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior team members and graduates.

We're working with a leading data and AI consultancy that helps organisations unlock greater value from their data through advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. As demand for AI-led transformation continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an AI Engineer to join their expanding team and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for a diverse client base.

The Opportunity

This is a hands‑on delivery role suited to someone with a strong Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering background who enjoys building practical, production-ready solutions.

You'll work across a variety of AI initiatives, from traditional machine learning and predictive analytics through to cutting‑edge Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents.

Working alongside experienced AI leaders and architects, you'll take ownership of key project workstreams while gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies, industries, and real‑world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions.

What We're Looking For
