AI Engineer - Central London 3 to 4 days onsite - Up to £160,000 + bonus

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing financial services business that has built its technology function the right way from the start. The environment is modern with very little legacy and there is real investment going into how software is developed.

The business is now putting AI at the centre of engineering. This role will play a key part in shaping how that happens. You will work closely with senior leadership and have genuine influence over how AI is adopted across the organisation.

They are big on collaboration and have invested in a high-quality central London office. Teams are onsite most of the week and work closely together which creates a strong delivery focused culture.

What you will be doing

• You will lead the design and delivery of AI solutions across a range of projects. You will act as the go to person for AI from an engineering perspective and support teams in how they build with this technology.
• You will work with engineers and external partners to deliver scalable solutions. You will help embed AI into the wider development process and set standards around best practice and responsible use.
• You will also work with senior stakeholders to help shape the direction and roadmap.

What they are looking for

• They are looking for someone who has operated at Principal or Lead level in an AI focused engineering environment.
• You will need strong experience designing and delivering AI or machine learning solutions. Hands on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering is important.
• Experience with cloud platforms is expected and GCP would be ideal.
• You should be comfortable leading engineers while staying close to the technology. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders are key.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment would be beneficial.
