Job summary

La Fosse is hiring a Lead AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI systems within a market‑leading fintech. You will own end-to-end architecture, mentor engineers and set engineering standards for AI solutions.

Hybrid working in Central London (2-3 days per week) offers the chance to shape AI strategy, drive enterprise AI adoption and deliver scalable LLM and agentic AI platforms that create real business value.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production AI systems from design through to deployment.
• Strong expertise with Generative AI, LLMs and agentic AI architectures.
• Excellent software engineering skills across APIs, cloud platforms and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture, design and delivery of enterprise AI systems.
• Build production-grade applications using LLMs and AI agents.
• Lead AI projects from concept through to deployment and adoption.
• Define engineering standards, reusable frameworks and best practices for AI development.
• Make key technical decisions across models, tooling, infrastructure and system design.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, observable and production-ready.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across AI initiatives.

• Experience making architectural decisions and driving technical direction.Ability to influence engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Experience with AI platforms, LLMOps or MLOps would be highly beneficial.
• Background delivering AI solutions within enterprise or regulated environments is desirable.
