Era4, a UK-based company developing renewable-energy powered AI infrastructure, seeks a Power Trading, Energy Analytics & Optimisation Specialist to support trading, balancing, and optimisation across its portfolio.

You will forecast prices, optimise assets, validate data for finance, and develop pricing and forecasting models. Strong analytical skills and energy-market experience are essential for collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in an energy or commodities trading environment.
• Experience trading power, including import and export positions.
• Strong understanding of short-term trading, imbalance management, and optimisation.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
• Ability to communicate complex information to senior and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with flexible assets or generation portfolios.
• Programming or advanced analytics skills (Python, SQL, VBA).
• Interest in applying AI and machine learning to trading and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Execute short-term trading and imbalance management strategies.
• Forecast forward power prices and support import/export decisions.
• Optimise flexible assets across OTC, balancing, and ancillary services markets.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust positions to manage risk and maximise value.
• Produce clear reporting on trading performance, imbalance costs, and optimisation outcomes.
• Provide insight to senior leadership and the wider business.
• Act as a key interface between the Energy team and operational asset teams.
• Support contract review and regulatory compliance for power and energy agreements.
