AWE plc is seeking an AI-Assisted Software Engineer to help build secure software quickly by embedding AI into development stages. This early-career role turns ideas into working applications with speed and precision, using AI tools to boost productivity while maintaining safety.

You will learn rapidly, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the AI Capability Development and AI Factory missions, delivering software at pace and scale with strong on-site support and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related STEM.
• Hands-on software development experience from placements/projects/early roles.
• Exposure to AI/automation tools in coding and data/ML concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to on-schedule delivery of software features and apps.
• Adhere to coding standards, cybersecurity policies, and AI governance.
