Job summary

Thales is seeking a Security AI Operations Engineer in Belfast, operating on a hybrid model. You will supervise AI-assisted security workflows, manage HITL routing, and maintain knowledge bases used by generative AI systems.

Lead quality assurance, audit AI outputs, and ensure timely escalation to Tier 2/3 analysts. You will also author and improve runbooks, SOPs, and documentation while collaborating with security engineering and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity/IT/Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 3–5+ years in SOC/MSSP/ITSM or similar with 2+ years AI-enabled workflows.
• Knowledge of security operations, threat lifecycle, alert triage, MITRE ATT&CK/NIST.
• Experience with generative AI tools and enterprise ticketing/orchestration (Jira/ServiceNow/PagerDuty/SOAR).
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch Dashboards, CloudWatch.
• Strong technical writing for runbooks, SOPs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AI-assisted security workflows and HITL routing.
• Manage knowledge bases and prompt lifecycle across Bedrock/OpenSearch.
• Audit AI outputs for accuracy; tune guardrails and prompts.
• Publish and maintain security runbooks and SOPs; train analysts.
• Collaborate with sales to articulate the value of VAS offerings.
