Job summary

Databricks in the UK & I leads a strategic field engineering team focused on data and AI in Retail/CPG. This role reports to the Director, Field Engineering and builds a high-performing pre-sales Solutions Architect group that collaborates with Sales to drive revenue growth.

You will hire, onboard, mentor, and scale the team, champion AI-enabled workflows, and strengthen customer relationships to accelerate complex deployments across large accounts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading pre-sales teams in Big Data/AI/Cloud
• Customer-facing in UK & Ireland Retail/CPG
• Experience developing GTM strategies for complex accounts
• Skilled at scaling and mentoring field/technical teams
• Data-driven decision making and AI/cloud model knowledge
• Ability to implement efficient processes for field members

Responsibilities

• Manage hiring, onboarding and building your Pre-Sales Solutions Architect team
• Scale the team as required without sacrificing quality
• Lead by example by using AI to improve workflows
• Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team
• Support increased consumption revenue through Solutions Architect involvement
• Promote solution and value-based selling field-engineering organization
• Engage with key customer stakeholders to accelerate projects
• Help Databricks expand by evolving processes to support growth
