Job summary

Trainline is hiring a Market Research and AI Transformation Lead to guide quantitative research across multiple markets. You will partner with Brand, Marketing, Data Science and UX Research to turn insights into action, while exploring AI-driven improvements in research quality and efficiency.

You will manage suppliers, drive robust reporting (Brand Tracker) and communicate clear recommendations to diverse stakeholders. Hybrid working model with global impact.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in a market research role, agency- or client-side.
• Experience implementing, experimenting with or strong interest in AI-led approaches within market research.
• Confidence designing research methodologies, writing surveys, analysing data and presenting findings clearly.
• Ability combining multiple data sources into a coherent story to support decisions.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and stakeholder-focused recommendations.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative market research projects from brief to delivery, including survey design, methodology, analysis and reporting.
• Own and evolve key reporting outputs, such as the Brand Tracker, and ensure stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse data independently and with teams to create clear, actionable narratives.
• Identify opportunities to use AI-led approaches to improve research quality, efficiency and insight generation.
• Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, Data Science, UX Research and Effectiveness teams.
• Manage third-party research suppliers from briefing to delivery and budget tracking.
• Spot opportunities where research can answer business questions and inform decisions.
• Support non-research colleagues by building self-service processes and better data access.
