Job summary

Ovation Rights in London is hiring a second product engineer to turn problems into usable software. You will own features from problem statement to production across several products, making interface decisions, and shipping with an AI-forward stack.

You’ll work directly with users, stakeholders, and a Head of Product & Technology, shipping polished, user-facing features end to end in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a full-stack or product-focused engineer in a startup or small team.
• Highly self-sufficient—you can take rough problems and build solutions without daily check-ins.
• Experience shipping polished, user-facing features end to end, including the interface.
• Obsession with AI tooling—built with agents, loops or evals, not just autocomplete.
• Data modelling in production and safe live-data changes.
• SQL to trace data and diagnose issues with the truth.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new features from problem statement to production across multiple products.
• Make interface decisions in an environment without a dedicated design team.
• Use AI and LLMs pragmatically to accelerate development and automate routine work.
• Work directly with users and stakeholders who will provide feedback on what’s wrong.
• Maintain a high quality bar for shipped code and tradeoffs; know when good enough is good enough.
• Work with real, consequential data where incorrect data can impact business decisions.
