Job summary

Sage, based in the United Kingdom, is seeking a Group Product Manager for Payments & Fintech to define the product strategy for how small businesses get paid, manage cash flow, and access capital. You will lead a cross-functional team, shaping the UK & Ireland vision with expansion plans, including Canada and global ambitions.

The role is hybrid, with three days per week in Newcastle, and involves partnering with Engineering, Design, and Platform teams to build scalable payment capabilities and

Qualifications

• Proven leadership for payments/fintech products.
• Strong link between product strategy and business outcomes.
• Ability to set direction and translate strategy into valuable products.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Customer-led, data-driven approach to discovery and delivery.
• Understanding of regulatory and market differences across regions.
• Confidence using AI to improve discovery and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver payments and fintech roadmap across AR/AP and Access to Capital.
• Own portfolio outcomes, grow payments adoption and revenue opportunities.
• Use customer insights and AI workflows to simplify financial tasks for customers.
• Partner with global platform and engineering teams to build reusable payment capabilities.
• Lead through influence across Product, Engineering, Design, Commerce, Mobile, Marketing.
• Balance customer needs with commercial priorities and local market requirements.
• Utilize AI to accelerate discovery and decision-making with quality and responsible use.
