Job summary

Zanda, a London-based AI software business backed by leading investors, is seeking a Head of Finance to own the ops finance function from day one. You’ll drive month-end close, balance sheets, cash flow, and compliance while shaping the ERP roadmap and automation roadmap to scale with growth.

You’ll engage closely with the CFO, lead treasury across UK/US, and mature from accounting into FP&A and business partnering as the function expands.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in finance, from a practice or start-up background or in-house finance operations.
• Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Hands-on month-end close experience; management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations from day one.
• ERP experience, ideally an implementation; understanding of clean quote-to-cash.
• Experience building automations; no-code to code when needed.
• Baseline UK payroll and compliance awareness.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition (IFRS 15) and equity accounting (IFRS 2).
• SQL or Python experience; HubSpot–ERP integration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational finance function end-to-end, reporting to the CFO.
• Lead month-end close, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Oversee treasury and cash management across UK and US entities.
• Manage quote-to-cash from HubSpot to invoicing and collections with live ARR.
• Ensure UK/US payroll compliance, VAT, audit prep and share scheme administration.
• Own ERP roadmap and drive automation improvements across finance processes.
• Explore AI-native workflows to push automation in live finance operations.
• Grow into business partnering and FP&A with a long-term trajectory.
