Job summary

TK Elevator in Manchester invites an experienced elevator/escalator engineer to help shape AI-enabled technical support. You will evaluate MyTA, challenge outputs, and work with international teams to ensure accurate, relevant information for field engineers.

You will translate years of engineering knowledge into actionable digital support, develop reporting tools, and contribute to governance of AI-enabled solutions across ITS.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Elevators/Escalators or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of elevator/escalator systems and fault finding.
• Experience diagnosing problems and identifying solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to question information and investigate when needed.
• Clear communication of complex technical info to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Curiosity to learn new technologies and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate MyTA performance and the quality of its technical responses.
• Review AI-generated information for accuracy, relevance, clarity, and usefulness.
• Challenge outputs that don’t make technical sense.
• Analyse feedback and support data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to improve information quality and structure for MyTA.
• Identify patterns indicating broader technical or documentation needs.
• Translate complex engineering knowledge into clear, consumable information for digital channels.
• Develop reporting and visualisation tools to show MyTA usage and value.
• Work with ITS and field organisations to understand diverse technical-support requirements across Europe and Africa.
• Support development and validation of new AI-enabled use cases.
• Contribute to digitalisation, analytics and innovation projects.
• Help establish governance principles as AI-supported tech evolves.
