Zusammenfassung

The University of Manchester invites applications for a 3.5-year PhD project funded under the Africa Futures Doctoral Scholarship Awards 2027/28. The project will develop an AI-enabled circular retrofit framework to support decision-making for refurbishment of existing public buildings, using digital twins and lifecycle data to maximise value and minimise waste.

Qualifikationen

• Eligible applicants will have a First or Upper Second-Class Honours degree or a Master’s degree in a closely related discipline.
• Interest in circular construction, sustainable built environments, digital construction, building retrofit, lifecycle assessment, asset management, artificial intelligence or digital twins is desirable.
