Job summary

City St George’s, University of London is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to develop an Integrated Digital Building platform that combines BIM, AI, cloud computing, IoT, and real-time data analytics for sustainable renovation. You will work with an international consortium to create smart building management tools improving energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

Qualifications

• PhD in Digital Construction, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Experience with BIM and digital construction, digital twins, AI and machine learning, cloud computing, or data analytics and visualisation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, C# or similar languages.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; desirable experience with smart buildings, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, and collaborative research projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM-based digital twin models for building renovation projects using IoT data sources.
• Contribute to cloud-based platforms and AI-enabled solutions for energy efficiency and smart building operations.
• Support data integration, pilot demonstrations, testing, validation, and dissemination activities; produce technical reports and publications.
