Job summary

University of Derby seeks a talented engineer to lead the design, development and deployment of an AI-enabled Digital Twin platform for intelligent asset management in energy and utility infrastructure.

You will integrate BIM, LiDAR, point cloud and sensor data to deliver automated inspection, anomaly detection and predictive maintenance in live environments. Strong Python/SQL data pipelines and end-to-end ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end AI and data-driven solutions in real-world environments.
• Developing Digital Twin and simulation-based systems using multi-source data (BIM, LiDAR, point cloud).
• Strong Python and SQL to build scalable data pipelines and validate data.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and deployment of an AI-enabled Digital Twin platform.
• Integrate multi-source data and deploy solutions in live engineering environments.
