Job summary

AECOM’s AI Engineering team in London seeks a seasoned DevSecOps leader to drive CI/CD, security-by-design, and platform automation across Azure and Google Cloud. You will shape IaC, observability, and cloud governance while guiding engineers and coordinating with vendor partners.

Lead service reliability, threat modelling, and cost-aware engineering decisions in a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering background with leadership or mentoring experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
• Ownership of production reliability including observability, SLIs/SLOs, incident management and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Evolve CI/CD pipelines and reusable workflows for fast, reliable deployments with automated quality controls.
• Build observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response to improve production reliability.
• Define service reliability objectives and recovery requirements using post-incident reviews.
• Embed security into engineering workflows and cloud environments with automated scanning and threat modelling.
• Monitor cloud security posture across Azure and GCP and prioritise remediation work by risk.
• Manage relationships with Microsoft, Google Cloud, and other vendors for reviews and roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with platform, product, and AI/ML engineers on architecture decisions and trade-offs.
