Job summary

James Andrews Technology in Shrewsbury is seeking a Junior / Graduate Deployment Engineer to install and configure our AI system on Linux servers and Windows PCs, ensuring smooth operation from first boot to handover.

You will follow clear instructions, work with a development team, and benefit from mentoring from the CTO as you gain hands-on experience with GPU servers and real AI technology. There is scope to progress into leadership as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Computing, IT or related subject.
• Hands-on Linux experience.
• Good knowledge of Windows.
• Methodical approach: follow instructions, document steps.
• Self-motivation and eagerness to learn and progress.
• Strong communication to explain problems clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure the product on Linux servers and Windows PCs.
• Test installations end-to-end before handover.
• Monitor live systems and spot issues.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to development with notes.
• Contribute to improving installation guides.
