Job summary

UCB is seeking an Artificial Intelligence and Data Capability Lead to build practical AI and data literacy across the Transformation team, Ruby, helping colleagues apply data and emerging technologies in real business workflows.

The role focuses on translating complex AI concepts into actionable guidance, designing role-based learning, and embedding learning into data products and workflows. It supports adoption with governance and measures business impact in a hybrid European office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience in data, analytics, digital transformation, learning, change, or business enablement roles.
• Translate AI concepts into practical guidance for non-technical audiences.
• Design role-based learning and capability frameworks.
• Support adoption and behaviour change in a complex organisation.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, analytics, and responsible AI principles.
• Strong facilitation, communication, coaching, storytelling, and measurement of outcomes.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain an artificial intelligence and data literacy framework aligned with business roles, decisions, and workflows.
• Assess capability needs, identify priority audiences, and address learning gaps and barriers to adoption.
• Translate complex data, analytics, governance, and AI concepts into clear, practical business language.
• Design role-based learning paths, playbooks, examples, sessions, and reusable resources.
• Embed learning into real business questions, data products, and technology-enabled workflows.
• Build understanding of data meaning, origin, quality, limitations, and suitability for purpose.
• Promote responsible use through human oversight, output verification, and evidence-based decision-making.
• Measure proficiency, application, confidence, adoption, and business impact, using feedback to improve learning.
