Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a Data Architect to join its AI Lab in London, shaping data foundations for proprietary AI products. You will bridge architecture and delivery, creating reusable patterns across data sources, models, APIs and services while keeping security and governance at the forefront.

You will work with AI Engineers, Infrastructure, Security and Data teams to ensure scalable, maintainable platforms and rapid delivery in a fast‑moving product environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data/solution architecture, data engineering or related technical work.
• Experience designing scalable data and application architectures, ideally in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, data warehouses/lakes and governance.
• Hands‑on depth to review designs and contribute to implementation with engineers.
• Strong communication to explain decisions and trade‑offs to diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the data and technical architecture underpinning the AI Lab portfolio.
• Define scalable patterns for how applications, data, models and APIs connect.
• Design data modelling, storage, movement and governance for sensitive info.
• Create reusable services and data capabilities to accelerate development.
• Establish standards for data pipelines, APIs, environments and observability.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate principles into practical solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, governance and architectural standards.
• Identify opportunities to simplify data landscape and improve interoperability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the Lab’s platform.
