Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Computer Vision and AI Engineer for a 10-week Summer Placement in the Image Processing UK team. The role focuses on cutting-edge imaging sensor algorithms to support MBDA products. The placement starts June 2027 and is primarily on-site.

The role offers exposure to CV/AI techniques, algorithm development in Matlab/Simulink, Python and C/C++, and collaboration within a skilled team on weapon design and functionality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student currently working towards a degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research studies using Image Processing, CV, AI, and Computational Imaging techniques to explore future product concepts.
• Develop algorithms as part of a wider product programme and collaborate with engineers and graduates.
