Job summary

Smart Communications is seeking an experienced architect to lead cross-product authentication and RBAC harmonisation across the Conversation Cloud suite, from design through delivery and into AI-enabled evolution. You will bring senior-level design expertise in secure identity, clear architecture communication to engineers and business stakeholders, and the ability to guide multi-team initiatives.

This role is remote with occasional visits to the Covent Garden office, and offers a competitive

Responsibilities

• Architect a unified, cross-product authentication and identity strategy spanning Smart Communications products
• Design and harmonise role-based access control (RBAC) models so permissions behave consistently across the Conversation Cloud? suite
• Partner with security, platform and product teams to define the target architecture and a realistic migration path from today's state
• Produce architecture designs, decision records and technical roadmaps that other engineering teams can build from
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers implementing the auth/RBAC work
• Present architectural decisions and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• As the role matures, help define and architect how AI capabilities are introduced into the Conversation Cloud? platform
