Job summary

Data Intellect is seeking an AI specialist to design and build agentic systems that call tools, query client data and reason over it to deliver actionable outputs. You will work with client engineers and stakeholders across cloud APIs and on-prem models, ensuring data never leaves the client network when required.

The role focuses on building LLM-backed agents, orchestration between specialists, evaluation, guardrails and reusable accelerators to speed future engagements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience building AI agents that use LLMs, cloud hosted or local.
• Fluent use of AI-assisted coding tools in day to day development
• Software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, CI/CD and maintainable code
• Strong written and spoken communication with clients
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and show progress
• Genuine interest in agentic AI and related reading/builds
• Claude Certified Architect (Foundations or Professional) or equivalent
• Background in financial services or regulated data-heavy domains
• Experience with MCP server development
• Experience with time series/analytical databases (kdb+/KDB-X, ClickHouse, Oracle)
• Python, Java and TypeScript
• On-premise or locked-down cloud model deployment experience

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-backed agents: tool use, MCP servers and orchestration
• Balance cloud vs local models for client constraints
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve workflows
• Convert vague client problems into scoped proofs of concept
• Explain design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Create reusable accelerators to accelerate future engagements
