Ordnance Survey is seeking an AI Accelerator Lead to establish and run a high-impact AI accelerator program in a hybrid Southampton setting. You will drive rapid prototyping, capability building, and cross-functional collaboration to unlock enterprise value from AI.

You'll lead production-grade prototype development, mentoring teams, and engaging stakeholders to align initiatives with strategy and responsible AI practices. The role offers a collaborative culture and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI-focused programmes and teams.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of governance, ethics and risk in AI.
• Ability to mentor across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Programme Leadership: design and operate the AI Accelerator as a structured, high-impact programme across OS.
• Exploration & Innovation: investigate AI techniques and surface risks and opportunities for the business.
• Technical Delivery: own design and build of prototypes, write production-grade code, code reviews, transition to scalable solutions.
• Capability Building: mentor participants, energise the AI Guild, curate learning resources.
• Stakeholder Engagement: partner with product, data, and technology teams to align initiatives with strategy and ethics.
• Communicating Impact: track and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders and inform roadmap decisions.
